These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of handyman and decorating services by (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the client (“you”, “your”). By booking our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Services Provided We offer a range of handyman services with a focus on decorating, including but not limited to:
Interior and exterior painting
Wallpapering Surface preparation (filling, sanding, priming)Minor repairs and carpentry General handyman tasks (e.g., hanging shelves, fitting curtain rails)All services will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner.
2. Qoutations and estimates All quotations are free and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. The final price may change if the scope of work changes or unforeseen issues arise (e.g., damage not visible during initial inspection). Any changes to the scope will be discussed and agreed in writing before additional work is carried out.
3. Booking and Deposits A booking is only confirmed once we receive your acceptance of our quote and, where applicable, a deposit (typically 20–30%).We reserve the right to decline or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies.
4. Access and Preparation You must ensure we have safe and unobstructed access to the work area. We may request that personal belongings, fragile items, and furniture be removed or covered before work begins. We are not liable for damage to items not removed or adequately protected.
5. Materials and Finishes We use high-quality materials. You may supply your own if preferred, but we cannot guarantee results or provide warranties on client-supplied materials.
6. Health & Safety We will follow all relevant health and safety protocols while on-site. You must inform us of any hazards (e.g. asbestos, electrical issues, pets) before work begins.
7. Payment Terms Final payment is due upon completion of the agreed work, unless otherwise arranged in writing. We accept [cash, bank transfer, card].Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month and may result in withholding of further services.
8. Cancellations and Delays You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may result in loss of deposit. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, material shortages, illness, or other events beyond our control, but we will keep you informed and reschedule as needed.
9. Workmanship Guarantee We guarantee our workmanship for 12 months from the date of completion, covering defects due to poor craftsmanship. This does not cover general wear and tear, damage by others, or materials provided by the client.
10. Liability While we take great care, we are not responsible for indirect loss, consequential loss, or loss of profit. We carry public liability insurance, and documentation can be provided on request.
11. Privacy Policy Your personal details will be handled confidentially and only used for service delivery and communication. We do not share your information with third parties without consent.
12. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
